Accurate boost gauge! I wouldn't bother with one (manual controller) though - nasty things! Go with mig tips instead!

1st thing

 

bin the MBC

get a chip sorted for correct fueling

get timing checked

new set of colder plugs

 

Then get

decent boost controller or boost jets

uprated clutch as stock clutch will fail

upgrade brakes

 

ensure you have enough cash to do all of the above.

Thanks for the tips guys.Ive ordered plugs and brakes are ok.Clutch is not a problem as my zed is automatic :( .Do i need a mig tip for each turbo ? wheres the best place to get a chip?

LOL, my automatic gearbox packed up 2 weeks after raising the boost !

if you upgrade the boost you will need a stronger g/box i upgraded then my box gave up the ghost so 1800 quid later i have uprated box :rolleyes:

Perfect time for Manual conversion ;) ;)

This is starting to sound very expensive :( I knew i should of bought a manual!! How hard is the conversion to do ie special tools required ect?

a job best left to the experts fortunately my box was done at SE Nistec in london unfortunately they dont exist anymore Ha who needs a manwell when you have a proper auto box fitted :tongue:

Im pretending that the car wont break with the upped boost. And once it goes I will get the manual conversion done.

 

To upgrade the gearbox to handle the power is it just the oil cooler kit??

no mate a full strip down and rebuild with different pressure flow inside the box mines an awful lot better than the stock box changes smoother and quicker also feels like it has taller gearing as not reving as high as it used to but doing the same speeds ( flat out everywhere :x: ) :cool:

Do not fit one of these crude awful little things! They will **** your engine and the money saved by choosing the cheap option now will be spent x 10 when you need a replacement engine / rebuild.

manual box its the only way to go to have a proper zed
