Posted a thread earlier and waiting for some prices for turbos from some of the traders. While im considering new turbos, started thinking about supporting mods aswel. Thinking of some of the following, any thoughts, ideas would be welcomed.

New Turbos (not sure which yet)

Nismo 555 injectors

Side mount intercoolers

Wiseco Pistons

Anything else I should consider, while the engine is out?

The car at the moment, was a UK Auto, now converted to Manual

Unorthadox lightened pulley set

Dump Valves

Air filter

RPS Clutch and Lightened Flywheel

Megan Decats and Mongoose rear

Have a Profec B11 to fit and will source a chip

Thanks

Barry.

rods & manifolds, very good air filter system

Its deffo not going to be cheap, first it depends on how far you wanna go regarding bhp, then making sure getting the balance right by that i mean the right turbo, injectors, intercoolers for intended power and main thing is getting it mapped properly, turbo's are minimum £1200,injectors again approx £400/500, intercoolers anything from £600 onwards, their is a guy on this forum who said he can get nismo 555's for a good price let me know if your interested,

russ hows your secret weapon doing bud

how important is it to get new rods? i thought the standard ones were good for 600bhp - ie plenty!?

fit the boost controller & chip then up the boost, you'll be surprised at the difference that makes.

Next stp will be turbo's, intercoolers & injectors. Depending on the size of turbos will dictate on how much internal work you need to do.

I think my stock turbo's are on the way out, hence looking at turbo's, then started looking at supporting mods. I guess what Im looking for is a to do list, with manufacturers etc.

Thanks

If your going to spend money on a forged rebuilt. I think that is better to be safe than sorry

We could do with a good Tuning/Engine rebuild FAQ. Very little info here. All the info is on the U.S sites.

Now about to head the same route, Engine is out today, and the way I'm looking at it is to base the supporting mods around the size and type of turbo's. After stripping down the Engine will be rebuilt with forged pistons/ upgraded conrods and other parts that may not be neccessary for the power the car ends up with, but I figure while the engine is out, make it a safe and strong engine, rather than going back to fix what could have been done earlier.

Don't forget your KOYO rad... :D

Safe and Strong.

Unfortunatly they also come paired with Cost and Expencive.

But a lot less than fixing a brand new rebuild engine because you scrimped a few £'s and something cheap went bang costing a lot more £
