My car came with a remote start alarm fitted which is a good toy. It works fine everytime as long as the weather isnt too cold / cars been sat overnight. If its been saat overnite in cold weather then it just turns starts for a bit (hunts rpm which it never does normally) then stalls.

I think it might be as the remote start keeps the igniton isolated (ie no power to fans radio, dial lights) that maybe the fuel rail isnt being presurised on remote start? but thats just a guess...

Clearly i dont want to mess around with a cat 1 alarms wireing, so maybe just use the remote start in warmer weather or after recent drives but any advice / re-assurance im not going to damage anything buy using it be good.

I had this problem with my Clifford remote start but Cliffords have a lifetime guarntee so I just take it to the clifford specialist and he adjusts it by plugging it in to a hi tech computer thing. I new I spent £1060 on the alarm for a good reason. LOL

He changed the "how long it turned the engine over for" thing. Sorry about the non technical description, the reason mine fooked up he said is because when the battery in my Z died once I had to jump the car, and that spiked it  . Can you do a search on the net for a local stockist and alarm fitter to sort this out for you??

My insurance company are well chuffed with my alarm it lowered my insurance cost by quite a fair whack, so as far as I am aware they do'nt have a problem with remote start alarms.
