My poor zed has been off the road since i bought it due to turbo problems....as in they're completely cream crackered!! Just managed to get a 2nd hand pair cheaply wondered if there are any checks i can do before fitting them to make sure they are ok. They had about 60000kms on them by the way.

Also before my mechanic friend fits them are there any other parts i should change at the same time ie. turbo seals etc?

Cheers!

you will definately need two new oil feed pipes and new turbo gaskets would not be a bad idea, it's always a risk fitting second hand turbo's as there is really no way of telling the condition of the seals etc from an external inspection, obviously you can check for shaft play but thats about it

dito . just have to take a chance if they were cheap as chips. lok for oil stains and endplay on the shafts etc.
