I totally new to buying a 300zx, i've never owned a turbo car before.

 

I have just brought a 300zx, should be picking it up Tuesday can't wait.

 

Can anyone give me any advise on what to look for before I deside to part with the cash.

 

Any information would be much appriciated.

Buddy listen to these guys THEY KNOW !! as Si says get a little runner wiv a few months T&T then look at your leisure !!! DO NOT jump at the first car, i would seriously look on this forum at cars for sale, you sound like you are gonna buy one so subscribe and reap the benifits of finding the best your money can buy with history verification and backup i live eat and breath cars i have probably bought more cars for friends and family than i care to mention and even I have been caught out!! As said before if you buy a zed that turns out to be a dog it will put you off one of the best cars for the money you could ask for.....buy the right one and you,ll never look back !!!

As Si kindly mentioned Import-ance I thought i'd post this link up, these are the some of the best Z's that have come up in Japan in the last few month's and are due to arrive in the UK in the next few weeks... We really try to import the best cars available and this year people should be seeing a lot more of Import-ance!!

i would walk away man, bein new here myself i subscribed so i knew what to look for and find out the pit falls of buyin an import without having to go through them the hard way. Just bide your time it just means you get what you want!!

Listen to the man. Buy a good one with peice of mind.

This dealer seems to have had bad press on this forum before.

 

My advice is dont buy, if theyve got it up for £4500 you can bet theyve paid about £2,000 for it, thats how they make their money.

 

If your buying out of the Autotrader, buy private.

 

Or buy one off here.

would recomend either way you take someone with you who noes there zeds, plenty of us here , dont get ripped off will cost you in the long run

Only heard good reports about him, and mine never let me down.

Take your time and find a nice one. For the type of money you have to spend you can get a fantastic car. Have a look around, take as many test drives as you can and dont be afraid to give the cars a good hard drive as I am sure thats how you will end up driving it. If anyone has a problem letting you go for a good long drive WALK AWAY. The cost of getting a bucket is very high. By all means try to get someone who knows about Zeds to go with you and have a look.

Don't go up there. Go to Slough and see Lee @ importance. He'll get you a nice one, you may have to wait a bit, but it'll be worth it.

 

I took Gio and Richard Smith along to view mine and other than the clutch, we could barely find fault with it.
