I have these all round on my japanese import ZX and Zedworld who drove the car said the car is light on the back which i agree. Anyone know of these tyres and if they are any good? They seem to have bugger all grip in the wet. I am tempted to get some popular Goodyear Eagle tyres.

Don't know much about tyres bud but Jap rubber is harder than European.

Mine has jap rubber on 225 all round on a TT, thankfully changing them soon, been gripping wheel too tight whilst turning white sometimes :o

someone correct me but I don't think Jap spec rubber is road legal in the EU.

yeah the rubber on the tyres seems rock hard and the tread looks as good as when it came out of the factory. And AFAIK softer rubber is better gripping rubber but it wears out quicker.

AFAIC they are not as they are not EU marked.

Best to ask PaulC for the definitive answer. Our resident MOT tester and all round knowledgable guy.

Also the speed rating is too low. VR is for up to 149mph, a 300zx must have ZR rated - over 150mph.

I know most of us won't drive at those speeds, but the speed rating is also meant to match the characteristics of the car. (acceleration and high speed cornering etc)

If Nissan specify Z-rated tyres then do not fit a lower speed rating.

PS Goodyear GSD3 F1s are the b0ll0x mate - best performance tyre ever.....

.....except they last 5 minutes :o

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
