overtook about 8 cars and 3 hgv's in one go on the way home tonight. One of the few straight roads which I know very well, (I know, it's still a risky thing).

Thing is I never push it to hard, usually spend more time looking at it and polishing it, but tonight I was stuck behind a long line of traffic , raining and miserable. No-one had any intention of overtaking so...I did the bold thing.

sometimes I forget the power of this amazing car, she took off like a rocket , all over in about 5-6 seconds. WHAT A RUSH!!! i guess the cold damp weather must have added to the boost I got.

Love this car, love it love it love it love it.....

ALL on my private road of course

That is what I love most about the 300zx

0-60 or 1/4 mile times are all well and good but mid-range grunt is usable in the real world - it's what the car is best at IMHO

And you look good when doing it :p

Nice one mate

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

tut tut mick. think you could have damaged your beasty!!

LOL! I now refuse to park it in carparks where people will open there doors and scratch it, the kids are banned from riding their bikes in the yard and I will only use a carwash that has warm water, not too hot.

I've got to get a life :xxx: :D

Agree, if I'm in the Zed, I'll park the other end of a carpark taking up two spaces....

BTW, I take you never saw this.

;)

No I didn't , thankyou! to be honest it was Greg's car which gave me the inspiration for mine. subtle mods, still stock looking. I never intended to mod it, always loved the original styling, but this place is catching....know what I mean?

as rich says midrange in 3rd gear pulls lovely :p

wish I had a manual  that's next year!

nice one , its just knowing you have the power if you need it, ps. did you see thread all ireland meet in general discussion

Makes a difference the manual conversion, not really used my car since the conversion was done in Nov. But took the car out on Saturday and forgot how much attention it gets, plus just been decatted so sounds even better :)

Then went into Trafford Park Industrial estate and had a quick play on the roundabouts, didnt realise how easy the car is to get the back end out and not get out of shape.

Barry

Thing is with yours and Greg's is the fact that they still hold the car's original lines to a good degree. Not OTT spoilers or meshed out bumpers. Doesn't need to look mad to be eye catching IMHO. :duffer:
