my car has the usual nissan cranky 1st - 2nd gear change when cold (usual to me that is, the skyline was exactly the same)..

may as well change the gearoil. and do the diff oil while i'm at it, so any recommendations welcome please guys...

the skylines problem was sorted when i took it in to dixons nissan in hull, unfortunately they NEVER put the oil in i asked for, so i dont know what they DID put in, i changed the gear oil a couple of times after this and never did get it as good...

what sort of capacity does the gearbox & diff take also, only if someone knows whos commenting on the above tho, coz i realise i'm been a lazy twat and could try a search ;)

all the best..

i use redline mt90 in mine.its fantastic you need 4 quarts (stupid american measurement) i did have crunchy gears between 1st and 2nd but thats gone now.

3.1 litres for manual gearbox and 2.9 lires for diff. I use Millers - and I still have the crunchy 1st and 2nd gear.

Good luck

Jack
