After checking absolutly every possible component car still wont start, so should i try another ecu ?? im getting code 55 have checked ecu harnesss all seems ok not overtightened etc would a faulty ecu give any indication of what to look for?? also would a faulty fuel regulator and dampner prevent car from starting?? thanx in advance.

1 are you getting a spark from all the plugs? 2 is fuel getting to the injectors?

3 are your injectors working correctly? 4 is your timing correct?

5 have you checked all the cylinders compression? 6 have you checked all relays, connectors and fuses?

Deffo got spark in all cylinders also can hear injectors, checked fuses etc havnt checked compression but 99.9% sure cant be low compression, how do i check if injectors are getting fuel ??

You can carry out an injector flow test but that will mean removing the intake manifold and pulling out each injector.

But thats normally carried out if you have bad uneven running.

See if fuel is entering the cylinders by cranking the engine over quite a few times with one of the plugs out and shine a torch down the plug hole to see if you can see some petrol on the top of the Piston.

If answer is yes at least you know you have fuel getting to the cylinders.

If no! then that either means you have a blocked fuel filter/Pipe,fuel pump not priming or not operating or faulty or faulty relay/fuse or you have a blocked pump pickup boot or faulty fuel pressure regulator.

cheerz mate appreciate all the help/advice will check the above.

Flippin eck mate, yer not having much luck

Start at the begining and tell us when it 1st started having problems in firing up and what jobs you had just done if any, cos i know you checked/removed a few things lately and what you've fitted/changed whilst trying to fix it.

Then we can hopefully sus out what's gone a miss for yer ;)

Ok after cranking car few times then took out spark plugs and there dry, looked in spark plug holes and there also dry so theres no fuel going to cylinders, however all six injectors are clicking so there ok fuel pump is fine is priming and pumping fuel through fuel filter isnt blocked and have changed fuel regulator but still wont start so what next on the list ?? cheerz.

So the car one day just suddenly wouldn't start and you hadn't fitted or altered something first ?
