I've had my black 91 300ZXTT UK car for about 6 years now, and I've just realised I have no idea what it is worth. I know the insurance companies only pay the book value no matter what we personally think. The cars in good condition apart from some git keying it down both sides. I'm wondering if the cost of insurance is gonna out weight the benefits of having a car that I drive once a fortnight.

Yeah I guess you're right but I hardly ever drive it now. The last time I touched it was xmas day. I'm begining wonder if it's all worth it and if a car like that should be out on the road being enjoyed by someone else. Hmmmm I dunno may just be winter blues.

insure it for seasonal use only......

there are deals out there that allow you to do this..

so that way you can drive it in the " summer months " lol.

and enjoy it.. and save a few pennies.

I guess it depends on how much insurance you currently pay..to decide wether its worth the cost. Most owners over 30 pay less than £400 a year Ins on a limited mileage classis policy.

Its a tragedy that the car is probably less much more than you will have spent on it in the six years you have had it :(

However mine is insured on a limited mileage policy of 7500 miles a year.

Im 38 and it costs me £260 Fully comp with another named driver.

which is a lot less than the average normal car insurance that will do loads more miles a year.

You have to shop around and get a good deal on insurance i think then you will have your descision to sell or not.
