i have a greedy profec b 2 boost controller but when i set it to hi i get a boost spike to about 16 psi and then it drops to about 14.5, how do i cure this? i want to run about 15.5-16 psi with no spike the settings im using at the moment are

 

set = 33

Gain = 21

set gain = 85

warning = 165

drop = 20

you got to play about with it mate as the settings act diff on diff cars

more than sure its your gain that needs adjusting to stop it spiking and the set adjust what psi HTH

some 1 will correct me if wrong

My controller I also have to adjust between the summer and winter as 1 bar boost in summer is not 1 bar boost in the winter, its bloody annoying.

i have tried messing with most of the settings, and dropped the gain right down but im still getting a spike! tried droping most things down and raising the set above 33 and still get a spike!

the reason i didnt just fit boost jets was because i didnt want spikes!

is anyone having the same problems?

hmm im in the same boat for reason of fitting getting my profe B fitted on monday.. was hoping to run about 14-15 psi in high and 9 in lo.. if you do solve this mate could you post your complete settings il be looking to se them too..

I had this mate, I turned one of them down to about 7, think it was the gain...will check in a bit...

its 'gain' that decides how quickly the boost builds up and is usually the one responsible for boost spikes. unfortunately i dont have the profec, i have a blitz but im sure the idea is the same. how you would get a spike even with the gain turned right down is a mystery - the controller is plumbed in properly i guess?! :smw:

for me it was turning it down that removed the spike...

only taken the gain down to about 15... ill give 7 a try.. angus can you tell me what you have everything else set to?
