By not working do you mean the fan stops or it goes cold or something else?

if you just mean the fan stops, then thats normal, once it has reached the desired temp it can be maintained using a real slow fan speed, if it goes cold again though then I guess theres a problem.

Hi again Guys , well the fan continues on low speed ,but the temperature drops and wont maintain itself , if I stop for 10 mins or so and switch off it starts up again when I drive off and its ok for a while(until it gets the car to the set temp ) then goes cold again......and will do that next time 'hellraiser' always great to meet other z owners they all gotta b nuts to get one....and your right bout the guys too !!!!

If its cold in your ride mate why do'nt you try putting the temp up to 40 or 35?? Or does that not work either?? as 25 is the coldest setting I think, I keep mine on about 30-35.

Hiya mate , set it at 40 all the time , but still seems to get the car warm then shuts off the heat (fan still blows on low) and wont heat up again till I switch off for about 10 mins

I think thats what its supposed to do mate, basically there is a internal temperature sensor located in the roof of your Z between the targa panels which you somtimes hear whirring as there is a small fan in there, its sensing that the temp in the car is at the correct temp so its turning down the heat, then when the temp go's to low it will kick in again. The reason why it starts up again when you turn off the engine for ten mins is because it resets its self.

Really????

Mine goes as low as 16 or maybe 12 - can't remember which

I always have it on 20 or 22, although if it's very cold out (and there is a female in the car  ) I may turn it up to 24.....

Richard :D

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

You are most probably right mate but I never go lower than 25 as I am getting old and can feel the cold in my old bones. LOL

Thanks Legrath , as I only got the car imported in the summer and the heating has not been used I think the setpoints may have been lost ,by the battery being disconnected in transit , but only had a quick look at the page n if that wont sort it F**k knows will have a go at it tomorrow .....cheers mate....Tim

mine goes as low as 10 but try disconnecting the battery for an hour it may reset the ecu
