I was always told never to allow the fuel tank to run dry as it causes the engine to sieze. Once you know roughly how long a tank is going to last try and bring it in before it starves of fuel.

Iv got a Cen 4wd nitro buggy, i spend more time fixing the bloody thing than driving it! Still watvhin sumthing that small do 50mph is pretty impressive and great fun!

yep 10 is the best ,, can run higher but wouldnt risk it,, dont do what me dopy bro in law did ,,

,fuzzy logic,, he reconisged as i have the tank doesnt last to long on these and decided to put a lager fuel tank on his car ,

but homemade yes it lasted longer,,, well the fuel did the engine didnt, lol and it handle like poo, and didnt steer two well, , theres a reason the fuel only last 5-10 mins max, it gives the engine time to cool down prelonging the life of it, o

one thing thats always bugged me about me nitro menace and other cars it always runs out of fuel long before the tank is empty, as if there isnt enough pressure to pump the fuel round?? any clues anyone?

Odd you should say that they do seem to have a problem with low fuel pressure like when your priming etc i find it easier to just lift the fuel flap and the fuel shoots in to the carb fine, perhaps a 0.5mm hole in the top of the tank would stop the fuel vacumn although potentially a fireball in the making :p

probably right guys just fancied bulding it up!

my mates mum works in wh smith and gets a discount and never misses and isuue and thought i could be fun to build but end up paying fortunes.

I used to have one when I was about 15 a celica rally car with 4wd and 2 gears but kept breaking the thing cause it was a racing one and even stones made the thing take off!

Ended up selling it for £400 and added the money and upgraded my mx bike tfrom a kx 125 to a CR250

Much more fun!!!!

fancy one now cause i could take it to car parks at night for a blast!

I got the shumacher menace 21.

Its really fast but very weak.

I've upgraded some bits but it just puts stress on other parts then they snap.

I had a head on almost flat out with my mate and it cost a fortune to fix!!!

Still great fun though.

Just dont do that one advertised on tv monthly.

will swap yer for your CR250 :p

dont have it anymore mate!

Sold it when I was like 19 or 20.

Keep thinking bout another one though superb fun!

It will end up costing twice the actual RC Car's value and take 2 years...except like everyone of these mags it will end u being cancelled within 6 months.

Save a lot of money and hassle and buy RC car direct from a shop instead.

I'm a hoooge RC fan but the mag is a rip off as a lot of the radio has to be purchased seperately.

Couple of toys that I have

My Schumacher nitro 1/6th scale Lotus Elise. chassis is basically an alloy plank with an engine strapped to it. Geared more for acceleration at the mo, top speed is in the 60mph region.

My modded electric Scooby with carbon chassis and alloy supsension parts, tops out around 45-50mph at the mo

RC cars are great fun but they cost a fortune to run, almost a much as a Zed!
