How much will you have spent by the time it is complete? thats assuming you dont loose interest with it taking so long, I bought one off ebay for about £150 for my son, he didnt get to play with it much and it certainly did more that 50mph, where I work we have some of the biggest warehouses in the UK whenever one became empty I would take it for a spin and soon have a crowd gathering wanting to play, thats until management stopped me cos it was a fire risk !!!!! not seen the ad but bet it DeAgostini they seem to run loads of magazines like this.

One thing they don`t tell you is how many you have to buy, that thing will probably cost you £500 by the time you`ve bought all the issues!!

Schumacher fusion, thats the one I had, it was geared up to do something like 80mph by the time I had finished, oh and the amount of things you can buy for them is unreal, it soon becomes just like the Zed, a very expensive toy, great fun and all your friends will want one.

The magazine is like all the others, the first issue is 50p but the rest are £5.99! In the first issue, you get a wheel - would take ages and cost about a grand! Just get one off ebay.

The easiest to use are the HPI RTR series, pre-built and will do 40mph+

What a spec for a R/C car, things have come a long way since I had my grass hopper.

If I saw it right it said 95 issues, so almost two years! I don't think it's likely to be published for that long but if it is then nearer £600 all in!

Edit:- just saw the ad (...again  ) and it said something about radio controller sold seperately?

That's what I got for xmas already broken the lower arm  only played for 10 mins aswell, just waiting for the new one to arrive :)

i got a traxxas revo and a pirate monster truck and they are both wicked fun me and my mates go to a bmx track in miltonkeynes and race them although i agree they do break quite a lot.however if you buy upgraded parts as and when they brake they do star to become a bit more reliable

I was gonna say that if you crash this thing @ 80mph, surely it'd smash to little pieces! LMAO!

i got shumacher menace 21 , 4wd ,, 180 of ebay , spent 20 for new bearings ,, but it came with hop up kit fitted already, ie alloy wishbones so they dont break when you go over kurbs or hit them , ,, you can buy alloy wishbones or lower arms ,, its a lot stronger trust me , !!

I guess I broke it about every other time I used it with an average repair bill of probably £30, big car parks are probably the best place, keep away from speed humps as it will take off, oh and you will spend ages cleaning it inside.

My cousin had a petrol car, and we decided to run it without the shell on to see if it improved performance. It seemed a little faster in a straight line, however i was so impressed with watchin it shoot off i forgot to steer and it hit a curb at full pelt (50mph give or take) head on :( suffice to say he was annoyed ! This was a few years ago now, i think i was 9 or 10....so i think it's safe to get one now!

Went to one of the motoshows at Birmingham and they had come professional RC racers there, how they control a car like that, so fast, round such a tight track is beyond me. Its hard enough behind the wheel, but when you're standing in a static location and using a held held remote control.....amazing!

How long do they run for on a tank of fuel??

I used to race them when I was about 13 or 14 - got pretty good too!! There is no way on this planet that I still have the reactions to be competitive again!!! You need to be a proper Jedi I think ;) :wack: :smw:

what fuel you using ryan , nitro grade , 10 ,, 15,, ?? etc

got 5 litres of grade 10 with it, was gonna try for a higher grade although from what i understand they run the risk of running to hot the higher the nitro grade you go

yep 10 is the best ,, can run higher but wouldnt risk it,, dont do what me dopy bro in law did ,,

,fuzzy logic,, he reconisged as i have the tank doesnt last to long on these and decided to put a lager fuel tank on his car ,

but homemade yes it lasted longer,,, well the fuel did the engine didnt, lol and it handle like poo, and didnt steer two well, , theres a reason the fuel only last 5-10 mins max, it gives the engine time to cool down prelonging the life of it, o

one thing thats always bugged me about me nitro menace and other cars it always runs out of fuel long before the tank is empty, as if there isnt enough pressure to pump the fuel round?? any clues anyone?
