Received a letter from Jay this morning, he is doing as well as can be expected and I am going to visit him on Monday. He has asked if I can put his address up for you guys to write to him, all letters would be very much appreciated. Address is as follows:

Yes, M8 I can he got sentenced to 30 months at HM pleasure for something he didn't do, we were all devastated when he was sentenced, but are trying to keep his spirits up

How would I know? I've not even been arrested before, let along seen the inside of a Police station, so knowing the inner details of a prison wing, quite thankfully, I have little knowledge of.

Hi M8 he should be out in March 2007, if he behaves himself, the Zed is safely at mine, here in Oakham, I intend to get it back into tip top condition for when he comes out.

Has anybody got a spare copy of a book about the history of zeds , theres a few around , i,m sure he,d like a good read while he,s in .

Hi All, me again

 

Have been to see Jay today and he is in fairly good spirits considering where he is. He has asked me to thank everyone for all the messages of support that have appeared on the forum, it has lifted him no end. Don't forget, any letters would be appreciated, however short, just to keep him going, his address is at the start of this thread. If you want to pass messages through me, thats OK, I will ensure that he gets them.

Just a note on sentancing: For sentances below 4 years you serve half, over 4 years, two thirds. Providing that you can provide an address and there is no risk of re-offending you could come out in less than half if you agree to wear a tag. So he could be out sooner. March 2007 would be the prison service's 'earliest release date', but with a tag Christmas 2006 is a possibility. In some cases bail is granted during the appeals process.

Well thats some good news, if he is out in time, and tagged, then it looks like christmas party round Jay's this year :D

tks colin for your message, but in Jay's case I don't think that will be happening, although we do already know that he could be released earlier for being a good boy. No sure how the appeal is going at the moment, but I know he saw solicitors during the past couple of days. Sorry to go banging on about this but letters would be of a great help to him, also some photos of either your cars or yourselves would cheer him up no end.
