Merry Christmas Folks!

On with my question; what is the avarage cheapest insurance I´m expecting to pay on 300ZX SWB when I buy it?

someone told me it would round up 600GB based on my history, license, am actually 37, license issued in 1988, never had any accidents, actually have my insurance on spanish mapfre company but they told me they will issued a letter based on my history so that I can get some bonuses with the UK car insurance company i choose;

so please can I get some helpful hints and advices on what I will expect to be paying approximately?

Thank you

I currently pay £275 on a classic insurance policy - the ZX is now my second car.

However last year when it was my main car I was paying £450-ish fully comp with max NCB protected.

I'm 35, been driving since 1987 with one accident in August 2004 and live in a low crime area.

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Live in a low crime area (apparently)

24 years of age, 4 years no claims, my only car but with limited mileage, i have one speeding conviction, ive told them its got a bodykit but they didnt ask if the red was the original red so I didnt tell that otherwise! I am paying £920 per year but as I pay monthy it works out at just over a grand after the interest is added. I am with Warwick Davis. I think that its not all things considered. When I spoke to them they were the first insurer to understand that when I say its a Fairlady its not a "special edition" its just what its called and they were the only ones to ask about the vehicles that I have owned previously to this one. I have just changed over to them from Adrian Flux who incidentely are total pricks, Until I changed to Warwick Davis I didnt realise that Adrian Flux must charge about 3 times as much interest and are more expensive in the first place and it costs you 50 quid if you want to change your car on the policy (admin fees). My advice is take everything you hear, read or see about Adrian Flux with a pinch of salt.

1990 Auto twin turbo. 21 years old. Insurance in my name and GF named driver (23), 1 years NCB, low crime area. £1700 fully comp which was lucky. Rest of the insurance companies wanted abot £1800+ TPFT and £2500+ FC.

Insurance companies did say that once I get a years no claims on a car like this instead of "slow" cars my premium would half at least.

Goodluck.

It is an old policy that they no longer sell but basically I can do anything to the car (apart from increase the cc) as long as I can prove it was installed on the car e.g. take a photo.

They did not give me any hassle when I sent them the list of mods to my last scooby when it was nicked, took the usual 6 weeks to get a decent valuation out of them but eventually I got the complete value of the car back (nearly £2K of that was the extras).

24 years old, 2 years NCB, TS10, £890 TPFT for an Import TT

I'm happy with that as it was £1200 for an Import N/A last year.
