do standard UK cars clear all speed bumps? Anyone drive around the Ealing area where there are monsterous speed bumps everywhere.

***kin speed bumps, I live on a new estate in MK. With table tops every 100 yds, and as for the towns boulevards "well" its a joke, as far as I know my hight is std. But i've had to re-straighten the ties numerous times & the underside of the front valance is a pourous yellow! embarassing noise "A". Note! most of the villages north of MK have those mid road high cusions already lost a plastic cable tray from undreside (saw it on return jorney, easily repaired). But Im now thinking has mine been modified in the past!

Any body got the std road clrnce.

when my Z was standard height, i only had trouble with a few ramps, not many.

 

now that i have lowered Eibach springs, table top ramps hit the cat heat shields, and steep car park ramps and garage lifts are a real hassle...

 

 

 

Mines Standard height and I'm getting clearence over the new speed bumps they have put in all over the bloody place in Newbury Berks. From the outskirts of Newbury to the office I'm working in, there must be 20 plus of the bloody things. I go over them very slowly indeed.

 

If your in the area and you see a black ZED with a 10 mile tail back behind it then that's me!!!!

 

I think I'll get a 4WD!

at last boys i can help on this chat? on my low rider i welded 1.5"thick steal plate 12"square to my crossmember reinforced the sump inside and outside with 8mm plate mounted titanium blocks 2 the rear leafs. that protects the under side but the best trick is 12" rams witch lift the car from ground level 2 about 1.5/2ft of the ground or i can drive with the front n/side wheel about 3/4ft of the floor. hope this is of use? ive seen a skyline with hydraulics in japan ,any takers 4 there z?

 

Well - after much annoyance, it came down to a hacksaw job, unfortunatly I lost some of the directional air to the brakes... nothing to drastic.

 

Anyhow... something much more important just came up... I'm off to the pub... z ya.
