The hicas operates at certain speeds from the rear wheels,a slight turn of about 1degree is all it is,which on an already worn setup wouldnt be noticable,replacement tie rod ends and bushes can perk up the setup,some do away with the hicas and fit a hicas eliminator

 

no the light wont show when in use,if the light comes on then either PS fluid is low or an intermitant fault with the plug,switch
