dare one say it looks a bit hyundaish. why do we have so many cars now that are adopting the jellymold look....love it or loathe it the 34 styling was agressive the new maserati is the same even the aston manages but the current jap trend is very poor

I don't know what to make of it. I preferred the other concepts I had seen a while back. They looked more agressive/futuristic. This one doesn't look enough of a step forward IMO.

 

Tooley's right though, it looks like a Hyundai. I'd say that and a Ford Cougar.

 

They'll have to make it look MUCH more agressive, maybe include the reknowned rear wing, to win my vote. The wing mirrors and bonnet look familiar.

 

I've heard a 4.0 litre V8 Turbo (Twin?) will power the beast.

This is where Nelson fuck up big time...try to get in there first by releasing the next generation Z while Toyota will then spend another few years ripping it apart in secrecy and building something 20 times better!!!!

The MK4 was re-designed, but the changes were only weight saving amends - 1) Exhaust: Twin tailpipe replaced with an equally efficient, but lighter single pipe 2) Aluminium bonnet 3) Plastic fuel tanks 4) Carbon fibre carpets 5) Blah de blah

 

Anyway, I don't understand why you brought the Nissan vs Toyota argument into this thread. I though my comments were perfectly neutral!

Just that not alot has been let outta the bag about a new Soup so hey presto.

Dont like it, cross between a Puma, Tigra, Cougar, Hyundai / shite mobile!

In fairness to Toyota this is only a prototype and I would say that because it is in the museum doesn't really suggest that this is what a new Soup would look like!

 

Anyone who has got the Z Owners Companion guide and has seen the prototype concepts they came up with for our cars will know that two out of three were bordering on disgusting!!!
