i only ask caus i got hit up the exhaust tonight in the wifes beamer !!! I had stopped dead but the bloke still managed to shunt the car about a foot and i was hard on the brakes when he hit me !!! I feel ok but my neck did whip quite bad i have a small pinpoint pain just on me neck top of shoulders but i dont think its anything. Does it manifest the next day or would i feel it right away ?? All i can say is thank fook it wasnt the zed i,d be screaming by now !! :confused: :(

always go to a and e on the night of the accident! its good for your claim ... my girlfriends pain got steadly worst over a period of 24 hours and she had it for nearly two months!

Got to disagree with you there mate, whiplash is a very serious matter and can affect you in later life. Obviously you have never been in a car accident and suffered it, its not just crap as you say. Just stick to your fridge and you will be ok. ;)

Got to agree, there are "dubious" payouts and who do you think actually pays them??? not Mr Lloyd the underwriter, Mr Sucker who buys the insurance cover.

I've had whiplash from a car wreck, dumba$$ driving wasn't paying attention, and rear ended a trailer. I was in the passenger seat (not wearing a seat belt) with my head phones on and the next thing I know I'm flying toward the windshield. It was all slow motion, after we were stopped and the slow motion was over, I realized I had shattered the windshield with my head....WOW I have a hard head. I didn't go in the ambulance...even though I should have I was only 17...later that night when I got home I was walking down the stairs, and I blacked out, and then fell down the rest of the stairs (I don't remember this). My mom freaked out and took me to the emergency room, I had to have x-rays, do some weird tests....like touch your nose, dumb shiet. The doctor told me I had bad whiplash, under the skin bruising...and my neck was pushed outta place...I had to sleep on this weird pillow, and the next day...yea I was feelin' it. Good thing he gave me a crap load of pain killers, and I got to miss school.

Yeh iv had whiplast when a tosser in a bimmer hit us head on. Didnt really kick in till a day later but its worth claiming as occasionally i have a really stiff neck since then, more so when its cold and im only 18 lol
