Hi Guys,

The steering on the zed is a little slack. What do I need to do/replace to make it sharp again?

Cheers

There is about 1" play side to side with the steering wheel, It doesnt feel 'positive' when steering at speed. My mates 300 has no slack in the steering, Is it worn bushes etc or is it easy enough to replace the steering rack?

Cheers

Might just be the bolts holding the collom in place have come loose. they are about 5 inches down the steering shaft behind the steering wheel. take a look there first.

Your problem is most likely caused by worn steering rack bushings.

The U/J that connects the rack to the column wears and creates this problem, only takes 20mins to change, easy DIY job but cost me about £120 if i remember correctly from Nissan
