I have the megan racing divorced down pipes and decats, and i cant fault them, good build quality and good value for money, noticed instantly that the engine revs a lot better with them fitted, a good mod to do.

Dont matter what ones you go for they are a pain in the arse to fit if you are doing the down pipes aswell, have a look at my rides.

are they benificial to non turbo z's too???

There were non genuine Megan copies cropping up on ebay, which people had fitment issues with. Not a problem with genuine items.

Chris @ getgreddy has decats in one of his xmas offers

I had the Megan Racing ones of Ebay fitted recently by the Zen Garage. These come with the divorced wastegates as well, which are a bit of a pain to fit, but not too bad. Martyn at Zen said that he needed to modify the Starter motor fixings slightly and open up the flange holes (wher the pipes joined onto the rest of the system) but that was it. I think the starter motor needed modifying because the pipes run quite close.

One other thing, it appears my 5Ziggens exhaust has pretty much no silencing properties, as after the de-cats were fitted it makes my ears bleed whenever i go over 3000rpm. I'm going to get some extra silencers fitted as soon as i can afford them.

where you looking for non-restricting silencers.. also interested as my zed is fooking loud when its cold and just running round town... need to rip the cat out and get some sort of silencer in

I've contacted Powerflow and the silencers will be ยฃ80 each fitted. This would mean cutting new silencers into the de-cat pipes, and yes i would go for non-restricting types. Not sure if it would be cheaper to replace the mid silencer in my system though, but it does need quieting down a hell of a lot.
