What do you remember growing up listening too? What did your Parents have in the vinyl collection?

 

My old man was well into Slade, The Stones and not going without saying...The Beatles...sure there was some Edith Piaf in there somewhere aswell. Also the Seekers and lest we forget...das Simone and Garfunkelest genius! Remember me old man driving us around in his Capri 1.6 GT with a matt black vinyl roof blaring out the Elton John early stuff aswell...them were the days! LOL :D

Starting with Elvis, The Beatles, then abosolutely everything loads of Stevie Wonder i would say everthing he ever sang/wrote. I recently bought him some Cambridge Audio Azur decks and gave him my Project turntable so he could listen to them late at night when my mum goes to bed (its the only release from me mum he gets as he just retired) and i am going to get him some Sennheiser headphones for Xmas so he can really hear them in their original glory !!!

Dad was into classical, mum Abba and Cliff :o

 

But my fave uncle (who would also give me beer when I was 10 ;) and set me on the whole petrol head path) was into Led Zep, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, Queen, The Who etc etc etc :bow:

 

He drove some cool 70s cars too - a series 1 Jag XJ6 and a Lotus Cortina :bow: We'd always go out for a drive on Sunday mornings with rock music's finest blasting while he showed me just how good it was to do 100mph ........ :hyper:
