For all of you that have R33/34 Brembos. Ive had mine for about 3 years and had tried everything to stop them squealing. Different pads and discs made no difference and even the boys on the gtr forum were stumped as what to do. Ryan at Z tech has just fitted his new anti-squeal shims in and NO MORE SQUEAL!!! This is a must for anyone with this upgrade. :hyper:

new shims and plenty of grease are almost always the cure for squeeling brakes

The problem always was that Nissan dont make a shim kit for these brakes so it is good to see that Ryan went out and got a set made up. I have talked to loads of people who have had the same problem and believe me it was highly embarrassing driving in town! ;)

My brakes are off a 350Z and they do have shims, so maybe it's something that Nissan eventually decided was a problem worth fixing ...

No mystery here, sure this was covered about year ago, the R33 / 34 use the same brake pads as a BMW 735i E38 96-2002, the shims are available from your friendly BMW dealer usually off the shelf, cost is around £6:00
