"I just got my car back from its first service since i bought it 3 months ago, according to the garage the previous owner had pulled off a vacuum pipe from the clutch (from the servo-assist) and bunged up the end... the garage has un-bunged it & put it back on & the clutch is now much lighter. Now for my question: Any guesses as for what reason the previous owner might have removed it? We can't figure out what improvement it would make? It just makes the clutch feel heavier...." THANKS TO ALL WHO REPLIED TO THIS THREAD... the clutch boost diaprahm/valve does leak which is why it was disconnected...
I have now got a new problem though... my brakes have been crappy ever since the garage connected this pipe back up... are they in any way connected or is this just coincidence? Any help is appreciated guys.
