I've not met one person though who thinks it should have a spoiler. Everyone seems to love the smooth look......I dunno. I think when I get the tailgate resprayed along with the rear bumper and a new black perspex tailgate panel, I'll be happy. :)

I think your colour suits the no-spoiler look.

 

When I did mine it just did'nt look right in black, so I chose the only spoiler worth putting on a zed and Im very pleased with the way its subtly modernised the rear. (It looks better in person than it does in pictures.)

 

Smooth or 99spec is the only way :D

My personal taste is for the basic Z shape to be unmolested no mahoosive front bumper and Huge rear wing. IMO

I do hate the standard spoiler on mine though !!

That spoiler in the picture you put up is terrible IMO ;)

Seriously, I think it looks nice on that SWB but on a 2+2 like yours (or mine) I don't know, so I reckon find some photos of the spoiler on one of those since the proportions are a bit different and it may not look as good. I'm having a similar issue at the moment: can't decide whether to go (i) fibreglass replacement for stock spoiler, (ii) Z Centre spoiler like Scottywil's, or (iii) '99 spec from Chris@GetGreddy. All have their merits and their downpoints. And I go through days where I like each of them in turn.

I've been toying with the idea of putting a 99 spec rear on my smooth rear end :x:

But, like you, I also like the smooth look (in more ways than one ;) ) Then I do miss somthing at the back end, and I think the 99 one does do it justice in keeping the smoothness at the same time.

I know where you're coming from funkisi. My 99 spec will be arriving any day now and is the last part of the bodywork to go on. But when i saw the car spoilerless the other day I thought why not leave it like this. It does look very "Zeddish" smooth, very unique, very clean.

 

Now i've just seen those pics you've posted and can't wait for it to arrive!
