it looked really good when i got it back but the last week with all this bad weather has taken its toll.

the dam thing has bubbled up and looks water logged again.... :headvswal

think im going to have to save up for a fibreglass replica or something different..

If you get a fibreglass one, make sure who ever fits it preps it correctly first by rubbing the slight weave effect out of the top surface. I didn't and it cracked within 6 months :(

99spec rear spoiler Gaz. It's the only really nice replacement. Better than the standard spoiler by a long way.

but it looks like a vectra spoiler!! not keen on them at all.

was thinking of the tailgate skin but don't know how much work is involved in fitting it to a swb

Erh? I don't think they look like Vectra spoilers.

IMHO, I think they are the only nice (other than the Tommy Kiara) spoiler available for the zed.

no not to my taste im afraid.

I'd get the skin mate. Looks far nicer than a standard spoiler and neater.

With some 99spec rear lights and panel, that would look very slick. :)

thats the sort of look im after.either martinfa's karlosg's or stock look.

i know i will probably get slated for this but i think the 99 spec rear spoiler is to complicated for the rear of the z remember guys it only my personal opinion so please don't be harsh on me LOL

Each to their own. 99spec would be the spoiler of choice for me. But I'm gonna keep the smooth look. :)

Definatly ditch the stock spoiler, its awfull. Go for the Smoothed look if you dont like 99spec.

Have it smoothed bud , even a reasonable quality fibreglass spoiler will either sink or crack with age eventually :headvswal

im worried about it looking out of proportion on a swb just being smoothed.

i really would like a pic of a black swb with the tailgate skin on it. then i can decide.

  • Author

yes those pics are just the smoothed back which im starting to think looks to plain. but thanks for the pics food for thought lol

have a look at james300 the closest one to a black z with a tailgate skin i could find

Out of interest...and be totally honest. Do you think the back of mine looks too plain? I guess some colours wear different bodystyles differently.

  • Author

i really like the back of yours as is but remember mate its your choice.

it would be really boring if we all had the same tastes.

i personally still like the stock spoiler on a swb as it seems to balance out the back, and by looking at theose pics you posted up of that swb with the smooth back just seems too plain for me.

thats why i was toying on the tailgate skin but cant find a black z for love nor money with one on :headvswal

if i had your z i would leave the tailgate smooth and add http://www.zcentre.co.uk/rearbumpers/zc004a.htm this bumper but all in my own opinion of course

good luck on what ever you decide bud :hyper:

Err,I know it's grey(s) LOL!-but Chunks fitted a skin not long back IIRC! ;)

i think he just did the remove spoiler and smooth look. ;)

not the actual reskin bud.

willing to be stood corrected

thanks

gaz

Think he has had a skin...looking at this photo it doesn't follow the lines at the edge of a smooth boot.

I'm biased!-lose the bumper for the one you mention and sweet!-BTW had new discs! :x:
