I am the new owner of a 92 SWB TT manual. When hot the oil pressure is around 2 bar tickover and 4 ish normal driving. The car has only done 50K and appears to be in good nick. The 4bar (60psi) seems plenty but the guage looks like it should be more. What's normal for these engines.

John i think your pressure is normal, more people will agree or disagree later, 60psi for normal/motorway cruising is spot on and at tickover it can be very low so dont worry.

The stock guage is rubish mate, i would recommend getting an after market one, very easy to fit, loads of people on hear can help
