Well I took the plunge and got a set of these from Ebay.

Really fast delivery, ordered Wednesday and they arrived Friday from Australia!

They seem good quality to me, (connectors etc.) and were a doddle to fit this afternoon. All I had to do was change one spade connector to a bullet connector on each light.

I'll wait until it is proper dark and go and give them a test drive and let you know what I think.

Only time will tell as to their durability!

Yep, 4 post up!!! ;)

All in all they get the  rating from me!

Let us know how they fare Guy I need some for my truck. cos I got that used to the one's in my Z and The C70 that anything other than HID seem rubbish.

Mark,

Make sure that your truck isn't utilising a 24V electrical system (like many trucks, SUVs, etc do these days). A 12V ballast won't be any good to you.

Dan

PS - if the flea-bay seller doesn't do 24V ballasts you can always get the HID kits from me ;) We do both 12V and 24V systems.

It 12V it's the new Ford Ranger Thunder XLT with the ECU upgrade. Like the Worrier and the Navada. Not a truck truck but a pickup truck.

I don't know a lot about these HIDs but I presume this "cheap" kit has the parts needed to ensure that when you flick on the main beam, the dipped beam doesn't flick off.

Can someone clear this up?

Thanks, Mike...

Mike,

None of the kits on the market have this facility build in as it is a feature of the 300ZX. You'll need to modify some of the electrics to allow dip beam to remain on when switching on the main beam.
