Nissan Wheels - Aerodynamic Stability??

I came across a posting that mentioned that the standard Nissan Wheels are different for the left and right hand sides of the car. Lo and behold I have a look and see that the f!"£$%g w"£$Jer who fixed my wifes latest escapade with the back end of the car has given me two wheels the same.

So, does it really make any differnce to the stability

Stability I very much doubt, or if they did it would be such a marginal increase that you wouldn't notice it except at Warp 11..

But.. they are designed to pull the air out from under the car across the brake discs to aid in cooling...

And if you've got two the same, you're gonna have the wheel police after you biggrin.gif

Hi Posidrive

I have a set with 3 near side and 1 driver side stock nissan alloys 16x7.5JJ Off45 which can be split up if you want to balance up the look of your car and aid the brake cooling. Tyres are pap due to a nice slide but the wheels are in Vgood cond if you fancy swapping your rubber onto one.

Tell me which side you want and I'm open to offers but bad news is I'm in Northumberland and depends on some nice member from up here or down there ferrying it to you.

By complete co-incidence I happen to know that Ajay has two rear wheels the same. Winding back my memory to Billing last year I think that she has two left rears ...(fnnarr, fnnarr)

I also have a set of wheels with tyres that I'd be prepared to lend to someone for a week or so whilst they get theirs re-furbed and the tyres swapped over.

You would be correct in that memory, Andy. Posidrive - if you have 2 rear rights, then if amenable to the suggestion, we could swap a left for a right. My Zed's off the road at present - nothing wrong with her, just using the company car - so if you want, I can get the spare left to you to change over and get the right down to me...if this makes any sense whatsoever..

I heard that the shape of the wheels was designed to draw air in towards the discs to aid cooling. Dunno how true this is. I would say its negligible differnce.
