Ever since I bought the car, 99spec rear lights and panel were on the very top of the list.

 

I partook in Smithy's group buy and midweek, I decided to fit them.

 

The difference it made is amazing. Compared to horrible amber standard lights. Really chuffed to bits with it. Looks better in the flesh, but here's a few before and after pics. :) Found 5 mins of non-rain and pulled it out of the garage. :)

 

Need to get a black tailgate panel now and do away with that scarlet coloured one....which I broke today anyway. :(

out of interest, did you have the spoiler removed or did you buy it like that? Im totally sold on the idea of no spoiler, but concerned about how well the paint can be matched, if it was anything other than perfect it would spoil the look of it for me.

Well, the car was de-spoilered before I bought. Although you can't tell from the photo, the finish is far from perfect. I am going to get the tailgate resprayed at some point as like you, I like something to look as perfect as possible.

 

I've sourced a very good bodyshop in Plymouth that's been recommended to me. The chap there has a lot of experience in spraying pearls. So I'll take it to him. It won't be cheap, but I'd rather a good job was done on it.

 

Thinking about having the bumper bottoms smoothed of their stone chip effect finish too and having those done if the match is near spot on.

i've come over from the skyline forums as i've just bought a zx, and i'd like to try and illuminate the rear centre panel, i mastered this with the skyline panel and want to do the same with the zx if i can...

 

if ayone has pics of an illuminated rear panel i'd love to see them..
