I need some help !!! decided (after a couple scares in past week due to ice) to put ma 300zx in the garage for the winter (and hopefully leave it till the good weather comes back) however keep hearing different opinions.

Some people have told me put a cover over it, disconnect battery+fuel pump and leave it.

Other people say that doing the above is bad for it, and i should keep battery connected and just go and run it for 10 mins once a week.

Does anyone else put theres off the road during winter and if so what do you advise?

Thanks :headvswal

As bigmincey says use it carefully otherwise stick it in the garage and put a battery conditioner on it, as for the cover, only if you want to keep the dust of it.

as for the cover, only if you want to keep the dust of it.

What about the snow salt and general shit :smw:

Mine only gets used about once a week as long as its dry - tax runs out the end of this month and its coming off the road then until next year. Just get urself a decent car cover (one that doesnt fly off in the wind) and just take it for a spin about once a week/ every 10 days

Mine "lives" on the drive and gets started once a week or so....but then it is an NA so why should I expect any problems  :D It ran faultleslly the other week on a 270 mile round trip to Jedburgh :hyper:

Mind you once it gets cold it will be used every day as a 7 mile bike ride to work will be no fun.

That's what I do in winter, I may drive it 2 days a week the rest of the time it lives in the garage.

I had the dilema of taxing or SORNing yesterday - opted for another £170 worth of paper as I couldn't bear not being able to take it for a blast on a nice cold sunny winter's day with the targas off

Richard :D
