Had a right day yesterday. I've been ill since the day before anyhow so wasn't feeling all that good. I drove into town about 40mph on a 60mph because it was damp and had a bloke come out of a T-junction with out even looking. I threw the anchor out the window but it wasn't going to stop me in time so I pulled the hand brake too. The rear spun round and the car slid uncontrollably on the narrow country road, narrowly missing a van going the other way. I ended up against the hedge and the f*cking bloke carried on driving. So I got the car car back the right way and went after him, not knowing if there was any damage yet. My Dad had a bad accident where the firebrigade had to cut him out after some tw*t drove off a few years back, so I wasn't gonna let this bloke drive off the same way. I tailed him for about 6 miles and he wouldn't pull over. Eventually he had to stop for some traffic lights so I got out, by this time p*ssed because the bloke wouldn't stop. I opened his door and told him what he'd done and that I could be alone, half dead on the side of the road in a remote area (albeit in a bit more colourful fashion). He tried to make out that he didn't know anything about it! How the f*ck can you have a bright red sports car doing a f*cking spin right behind you when you turn onto a main road and not notice? I said he couldn't of been looking in his mirrors at all then if he didn't see me, let alone left and right while coming onto the main road. He then admitted he had heard me skid but thought it was because I was trying to overtake but had to stop because of a minivan coming the otherway. This incensed me because he obviously did know I was there then (the minivan didn't pass until I was spinning, and there was definately no chance of me trying to overtake him). I can't f*cking believe someone could watch a car spin into the hedge behind them and not stop to check they were ok. I can apreciate that these things happen, maybe he thought the road was clear or whatever, but to then have that happen behind him, to see it (which I'm sure he did), and then to drive off makes me f*cking fume. I could have been crushed against the hedge half dead. I really wanted to rip his effin head off, he was about 50 odd and was shaking in his seat at me going off and probably an alright old boy, but I can't believe someone could just drive off??!!

I looked at the damage after, I've got some white marks on the nose where its bent up and taken the paint off (and bent back thanks to polyurethane  99 spec) and its damaged a bit of the bottom plastic panel. I figured the insurance would have put it as a 50 50 accident so didn't go any furthur with that side of things. It could of been a lot worse to me and the car, so I'm taking it as a warning lesson I suppose. Even though I'm a lot more careful in the wet ,other drivers might not be. Dave

the amount of thimes i have been cut up,on roundabouts ,junctions is unbelievable! im afraid to say it was by older drivers in there early 60's onwards.

one guy nearly wiped out the front of my z and had the cheek to stick his fingers up at me!!!!!!!

i used to have a lot of respect for my so called elders but i have found not only behind the wheel but in general younger people are more curtious.

i'm fed up with the elderly generation putting on this bloody vunrability front when you know damn well most of them can handle themselves.

i am polite to anybody who is polite to me.

Felt like it mate. I know people that would have just for the accident but I can understand that these things happen. Its the fact that he didn't stop that really gets me. My old man was forced off the road in a similar incident and he went into a ditch and completely mangled the car. He was trapped in the car until the firebrigade came and cut him out. He would have lost his feet if it wasn't for the steelies that he had on. That bloke didn't stop either.

Giving him a smack would have made you feel better for about 30 seconds until you realised what had happened so respect to you for restraining yourself. Being a royal marine i bet you can throw a punch !! As for the other driver, people like that shouldnt be on the road, they are a hazard, and a threat to everyone's safety. If visibility did not warrent lights, then whatever the vehicle he should have seen you. I'm glad you were doing 40 not 60, otherwise you could have hit him or something worse!

Mate i wood have knocked the F*cker out cold And then stuck his gear knob up his arse, See if he notices that when he comes round ! :headvswal

Whats the obsession with knocking people out, surely its much more satisfying if the offender feels every punch?

Look before I broke my back, when working as a paramedic I have seen and heard the many stories of people driving off from a scene. Although I do not agree with this I can understand to some degree. There is a serious fear of what they might find. I do not agree... i cant say that enough.. as any help i feel is better than none.. but i do understand...

I am really glad your alright... the car can be fixed... and WTF!!! 3 Crashes in a row... by zed owners... WTF is going on???? PUT YOUR ZEDS AWAY PEOPLE.... dont end up like us... Wan*^%s are on the road... and dogs and more Wan+$£s... so be carefull.

PS. I if you are afraid to stop.. for fear of the unknown.. or of blood etc.. use your cell phone.. (damn it most people have them..) stay near by.. and call for help... you dont have to get out... just by ringing 999 you can save a life.... just put your hazards on and be ready.. expecially if there might be children..elderly etc. in any car... you dont have to put yourself at risk... just do what ever you can... .. Enough of me.. I am finished...
