Just had my Profec fitted but the boost seems to drop off. There are a few settings that I need to set but have no idea what they should be for best perfformance. They are:

Gain

Set

Start Boost

Lo \Hi

Warning

Limiter

Peak

Can anyone explain in plain English what these are and approx what they should be set to?

Thanks Guys

I know dude, but there is so much to sift through and I can't find anything to explain in plain English what the settings mean...

Ok, here are the settings from my Profec B spec 2, to achieve 9psi in LO and 14psi in HI, on stock turbos:-

LO:- SET=16%, GAIN=18%, SETGAIN=48, WARNING=110 with a drop of 20%

HI:- SET=33%, GAIN=21%, SETGAIN=85, WARNING=155 with a drop of 20%

The boost signal is tee'd in from the right hand side of the plenum balance tube.

Also I have a dual friction clutch which seems to be able to handle it.

SET: is used to set the desired boost pressure. Raise the % to increase the boost and lower % to decrease. 100% will boost the turbochargers/waistgate limit. 0% for stock

GAIN: Adjusts the boost consistancy(sensitivity)

START BOOST: Adjusts the boost response. (when the wastegate opens)

WARNING: Set this to the limit you dont want to go over.

LIMITER: Set this to the amount of boost you want to drop if you do go over the warning setting.

LO/HI: That is the two settings you get. You can do one lot of settings on LOW for just having a little play around, say around town. Then the HI setting for all out bol#ox on the motorway :D

Hope that helps a little bud ;)

Just been testing these settings and my set gain will only go to 35%...why wont it go higher?

mmmmmmmmmm. will have a look at mine tomorrow bud and try to see whats going on. Who fitted it? and did you disconnect the two origonal plugs on the engine?

It was fitted by Scott at Redline so will be done right and yep, the plugs were disconnected...
