my 91 tt jap manual zed is running about 340bhp it only has a few mild mods, air filter ,hks evc its been chipped by a company called hiperchip anyone heard of them??? anyway i want to get the car to around 400bhp any ideas on which way i would need to go on this like a list of mods that i would need to do any ideas guys ???

Tubs - vary, £1500+ for the pair

Injectors - £600

Coolers - £700

Boost controller - £350

Boost guage - vary, £150 (apexera)

ECU - remap and RR - £400

Labour on fitting parts - £shit loads, I would charge £1500 to do it.

New loom once you fit the injectors cus all the ******* connectors break - £730+VAT (nissan)

 

Well all the mods with labour I have had done had cost me 000's, I have lost count.....

 

You'll probably need downpipes to match the tubs too......it'll cost loads, not trying to put you off but I have been aiming for the same and 2 1/2years later and thousands of pounds spent, I still aint there yet.....

id be impressed if you could get it that cheap - with injectors and intercoolers costing about £1500 between them, and a couple of grand for tubs on top of that, thats doing a lot of work yourself.

can the actual internals of the engine handle it or will there need to be some changes done ??

advisary to get forged pistons too as well as the list mark mentioned and if u can streach to it a rebuild at the same time ..would probably save money in the long run.

 

but yes u will need larger turbos, injectors , intercoolers , boost controller/remap.

 

Also depends if u want 400bhp at the rear wheels or at the fly?? But deffo gonna cost more than 3k !!

erm when i took it to ztech greg said he would think it was runnig about that figure and i skinned a subaru the other day(which put a smile on my face!) quite easily when i got up to speed so it seems to be running well , i will get a proper bhp read out at some point i got a few other things to do first.

as said, depends on if you want 400 at the fly or wheels.

 

400bhp @ the fly is possible on stock tubs & injectors on a good healthy engine (check out the dyno section. i know both Jaffa & SMW1 had >400bhp, am sure mine is there now if i dyno mine with tyres that grip in the rollers!! :D )

No need to get uprated turbo's to achieve 400bhp at flywheel.

 

My car has 390bhp at the flywheel (325bhp at wheels) mods are JWT chip, filter, decat, boost increase to 15.5psi, RPS street clutch. The bloke who dyno'd it said the fueling was ok.

 

I could get past 390bhp with lightend flywheel and underdrive pullys. HTH.
