Hello guys, ive just rang a transmission place to ask about my car, i advised of the symtoms etc.

 

He said he thinks my autobox is burnt out and it'll almost definately need rebuilding. :cry: :cry: :cry:

 

Not good, im going to take it through for themn to have a look in the morning so ill know for definate.

 

Not happy if it is, luckily the guy i bought the car from is being a nice lad and said he'd help me out with the money side of things which is good of him (specially as im very very skint :x: )

 

well more of an update to come in the morning, what do you guys think?

I think you should talk to mac, he has them shipped in in bulk, might be able to sort you one cheap :rofl:

well a rebuild is gonna be @ £1500-£2000

but a 2nd hand box off a known car is gonna be @ £500 fitted....sure no guarentees but even rebuilds can be back and forth on past posts

If the box is gone it will deffo be a manual conversion as for 1 its cheaper and 2 a manual is the better type of car.

I thought it would have been cheaper than that.

I read some where (can't remember where) that it was cheaper to convert to a manual than to rebuild.

looking at previous post i think the £2k came about cos of a conversion i saw posted including an uprated clutch and performance package bits...
