am thinking of getting a Z (manual TT)

i am worried that it may be a little expensive on running, so my wuestion is this:

if i buy a Z for say 4500, and is too much for me, is it easy to sell?

or will i be stuck with it for a while?

PS Currently a have black S13 facelift, and i know that if i wanted to sell it, i would go straight away for a price id be happy with. ;)

If you get a good one it should only cost you fuel and servicing cost, but this is not the time of year to sell though you will get better deals if your buying.

I ran My car for 4 years and only serviced her regular and fed it Optimax. Never skipped a beat and that was with an induction kit and 15psi boost. Soon as I started messing around with it, its cost me a fortune and been very unreliable though thats proberbly more to do with the knob I let loose on it.

lower your limit to £3500, then you will have a spare grand to make life easier.

Spend no more than 3500 and try to get one of the guys her to go with you to look at it. I am wondering what do you mean by being too much for you?

I payed £3500 for a slightly modded one and appart from the things you get on any 12 year old car its been great. Insurance can be expensive for some of the younger people and fuel is heavy particularly if you nail it everywhere ! ;)

for the first 2-3 months say u need about 100 pounds for 150 miles as u are goinna nail it everywhere.

my main concern is the fuel consumption...

If you are worried about fuel consumption - then you are looking at the wrong car !!

Fuel Consumption Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahhohohohohohohohhoho Hehehehehehlolololololololol!!!!!!

Love It

I was getting 30 miles on a tenner driving to my old work, town driving all the way not above 40 mph......but if fuel consumption is an issue with you then as a few people have said DONT buy a ZED...saying that when I bought the car in Maidstone and drove it to Glasgow I got 250 miles from a tank.....averaging over 75 mph with a few blasts up the M6, which I dont think is too bad.

My advice is sell the Nissan and buy a ZED, as you only live once and why not put a smile on your face every time you drive it.

You looking in the wrong place...!! the local Shell garge know me by name now.!! He back for his £60 fun gas :hyper: :hyper:

On short trip she drink you under a table.. :p On a long trip I got 330 miles out a full tank. was light footed. I say I get about 220-240 miles out a tank with my avreage weeks driving (short runs in week and long runs weekends)

thats why im asking this question.

if the petrol consumption is shit, il just sell the car.

What kinda figure for fuel consumption would be acceptable for you, remembering the car is a 3 litre V6 Twin Turbo, not really my idea of an economical car, but why not buy the zed and put it on classic insurance as a 2nd car and buy a diesel runabout for everyday use, I have my ZED on classic for 175 quid a year.

Cheers John Crisp

what about getting a manwell n/a. cheaper to buy, cheaper to run, cheaper to insure. not as fast admittedly but still great fun to drive. just an idea.
