Just been looking through some old car photographs, and came across a couple of my old cars.

My first 2.8i Capri, LVP 48X, this was taken at Badgers Hill, Sheriffs Lench, Evesham, sometime back about '91. She had just been re-sprayed back to her original Colbalt Blue over Strato Silver, with the thin twin stripes and polished Pepper Pot alloys as it would have come out of the factory back in 1981 (first 2.8i production year) I'd brought it with a body kit fitted, which was hiding some accident damage .....

And another one of her taken at my (then) home in about '93/94. Still looking good, except for a light rusting area between the lower front valance and off side wing....

Now this one is my second 2.8i Capri, a later 1984 version. The only, subtle, difference (from this view) is that the striping is thick over thin. The other main difference is that the interior was vellor Recaro seating and door trims, as opposed to the tarten, and slightly less plush looking, interior of the earlier '81/82 cars....

probably why i lurve my zed so much same sort of sports coupe shape but more up to date

nice car btw

Yep, nice car the Capri. My step-dad had one for a while: same model I think, 2.8i. Lot more reliable than the 3 litre version, or so I'm told at any rate.

Yep Capri lover as well had every model from 1.6 laser :headvswal to 280 Brookland none of which went round corners but the 3.0ltr and 2.8 's went very well in a strait line for there day..

The first car I ever travelled at over 100mph in was my Uncle's Capri 2.8i. I remember turning around and watching my Dad's Astra 1300L become a small white dot behind us... aaaaahhhh happy days!

Just to compare the two together :D

I still like the Capri very much. I'd like to be able to fit one out with all modern items, from the engine, right through to central locking, but keep everything looking like it came from the factory in the 80's. Could make an interesting project.

Anyone wanna spin in my CAPRIII GHIA...........

Mick1 my first car was like yours except mine was orange. I got it for Christmas when I was 16, back in 1980. Those were the days.

I used to love this car, It sounded great spent a fortune on repairs for it in the first 12months of ownership. Got a job where I had to travel and decided I coul'nt trust it.

I was right cause on my way to view next car it broke down and ended up costing me around £225 that night as the police towed it off

Some nice rides there guys thought ide post a few of mine it

Scared myself when i looked at how many rides ive had this is just a few ! :D

Anybody want 2 see some more ?
