Can anyone tell me how I can tell if my car has been lowered. Do I measure from the ground the the top of the wheel arch and what should that measurement be.

It should be evident by just comparing the car with a picture of a non lowered car. If you check my rides my car is lowered if your car looks higher then i would imagine no it hasnt

Thanks Viniboy, I have looked at your care (Nice) and the profile looks the same. I was wondering if there was a more scientific way to prove it. I bought my car like many Z owners with no idea of everything that has ben done to it. Just trying to get a list together for my spec sheet.

Get a tape measure and measure the distance from th road to the underneath of the car, then post the height.

Measure the heights of the wheel arches and compare with other people. There may have been a thread about this in the past - try a search.

I have a jap one and even thogh I have not tried this method I am sure that I can stand a pack of fags upright under the front bumper. Are you trying to say because people are generally shorter in Japan and China that their cars are lower to allow them to climb in. LOL :rofl:

OK I just measured up and its 24 3/4 inches from the ground to the arch. Anyone have similar measurements.

Cheers b19rks!!!! Explanes why my UK TT looks higher off the ground than any of the other ones I park up against around here!!! Is it just the spring height that's differen't or are there other suspension differences??

check the colour of yer springs black are standard im sure, and any aftermarket will be red or yellow or some other funny colour!!

:eek: mine is 26" and it has been lowered with eicbachs

just checked mine 25", was trying to work out if mine was lowered as well looks and feels like suspension has been moded but standard black springs

were throwing me a bit.

....found it... 25.5 inches front, 26 inches rear. And I know they are stock springs.

Looking at you're sig pics ,it does look lower than standard.

Legrath, in the pics your car looks lower than mine. I will have to post some pick this weekend when I can see the car in daylight.

Eibach, Blitz and HKS lowering springs are black and depending on which variant ie Street pro, sport etc depends on the initial drop in height. Also ajustable damping will effect the height yet again as will Knacked springs and the amount of crap you've got in or on your car. So its not just a case of my car is X height therefore its got lowering springs. Need a lot more info, to many variables.

The only thing extra in my car is a hks gauge
