Hi,

Ive found a 94 uk auto. Its on 125k however, which is a worry, but apparently it has just had a nissan service, and has various history etc.

Says its totally standard and from the pictures looks it.

My questions are, its up for £3.5k, it this too much?

I deally i want a UK one, and from a garage so i can part ex my current car for it, plus have some kind of comeback if it blew up on the way home etc.

A bit short of time since my insurance runs out on the 20th and i dont want to renew it only to have to cancel it a month or two later.

What seems to be forgotten here is that the Jap imports are sooo much better than the UK ones.

What hasn't been mentioned is the little differences that make the Jap so good. like:

folding wing mirrors,

power/hold button on gearbox,

side light/fog light configuration at the front,

don't have silly little headlight washer thingies.

Plus the most important thing (which has already been mentioned)

RUST

Rant over.

However UK do have a sweet leather interior....not sure whether you can get that on the Japs can you?

Think the Jap ones had tougher paint or so someone was telling me, could be blx.

no, its just that cars dont rust in japan (due to weather, and not using salt on roads). Jap's Imported to the UK will rust eventually, its just that UK cars have been here for over 15 years already.

Leather was optional on Japs, but standard(i think) on UK cars.

120k is fine aslong as the car has been mantained and loved then theres no reason why it wont last until 250k miles auto boxes will die as will turbos expect to put 2k aside for any problems wether it be uk or import makes no differance, find a manual they will last longer, syncros are starting to fail but are a much more desirable car to buy ;)

That's very true, mileage doesn't really matter if the car has good signs of it being cared for. My first Zed had 46k and I had to spend over 2k replacing PTU, shocks and the autobox .

My current one has 121k , the interior and exterior are spotless, no history but the engine and autobox are very smooth, it was very well cared for in Japan and the UK where I bought it.

Mileage and plates sometimes have to take a back seat when it comes to buying a car of this age.
