i've looked all over for decent mats luke at the z centre was the last person to have decent ones but he no longer does them not even my mate the great johnny at gps can get them. come on guys spill the beans where are these elusive mats

Tooley, I found some nice mats that would suit your car down to the ground. Whilst walking round Carpet World, I saw some pink axminster that you could cut up and stick in there... What do you reckon?

I got some mats made up in a place in Salisbury. Mine are charcoal colour with white piping (white Z see), with a patterned metal foot plate. They look the muts nallies. 70 quid for all 4 though. They provides many different styles in all colours. Oh, and I have the 300ZX plastered over them. You can have what you want, Twin Turbo etc etc.

I'll dig out the name & number when I get home the weekend.

Over at http://www.twinturbo.de/adressen.html

I saw a couple of nice ones that

were custom made.

Maybe something to consider?

Try Autostyle. They advertise in lots of the mags. www.autostyle.co.uk I got their top of the range set and they are very thick Wilton. You can have any wording on them, but they seemed reluctant to use the word Nissan (probably trademark).

When I bought my Zed it wasn't on the drive for 10 seconds before those purple mats ended up in the loft. What the bloody hell were they thinking of?

Mine has nice plain black halford mats in mine!

Also have you ever seen a Zed with Glass panel shade panels fitted like mine came with? Those are in the loft too!

i don't care what the price is they'll be worth their weight in gold when it comes to saving my lovely plush trim if anybody does have the number can they post it on here

cheers gents

They do make a hell of a difference to the interior. Definitely worth it. I'll see if I have an interior pic with the mats included.

I bought some mats from Nissan a few years back and I totally hate them, I really want to burn them on the 5th. My interior and carpet is black, but the nissan mats are slightly grey... PUKE..

I would really like some of those deep shag pipe Nissan ones (from the states I think?), probably the ones you have paulg!

Okay grant. I will call autostyle.

Simon,

What wrong with shade panels, I think they look pretty cool.

Granted, the shades are OK, just I have never seen one with the shades on. The fact that the car is so light and airy really makes the car.

i keep mine on all the time.. must make my car dark and depressing inside.. :)

OTOH, it stops people looking down and into the car, from my (lowered) viewpoint it feels like i'm sitting in a hole when they do that.

But, it also means when some decent looking totty walks past, i can't see past her waist.....

It occurred to me this morning how often I see the green light at traffic lights through the roof of the Zed. It's too damn low, perhaps I should have got a Range rover?

My mats are dead sexy! Black with white "Nissan" logos going diagonally across. Probably standard fitment.

We talk about some dumb stuff on here don't we?

Hi,

I attempted to call autostyle today... closed until the 8th Jan.

Anyhow, Paulg / Grant / Anders...

I've checked out the webbsite, they are £100 with the metal plate or £110 with Supaslot/Evo drilled plates.

Which ones do you have and have you seen the drilled ones, any better than the plain metal?

My current mats don't match the interior at all, do you know if their black matches the jet black of the 300?

It also loooks like the passenger side has a metal plate, doesn't this look a bit strange?

How can I ask such boaring questions?

Well, guess what, I'm back at work, nice... 8(

Jez.

Jez,

I went for the Diplomat range with the Sport plate £60 (£70 if you go with the evo plate). Still top quality. They also have the 300zx logo on the mats which come included with the price. You can have any colour + any colour piping out of their range. Mats usually look best when the mat is close to the interior trim colour whilst the piping matches the colour of the car. I don't know what colour interior you have. Something like light grey - charcoal with black piping! The plates look great on both sides although the passenger side plate doesn't fit flush to the floor. I reckon it would look odd with a plate only on the drivers side. They can accommodate either way though.

I would suggest that you take the old original nissan mats to them so they can match up the holes perfectly. Mine were a little off.
