just finished 3 weeks of night shift and my body thinks i should be working or pissed!

got the car back but me not a happy bunny :mad: just gone out to have another look at the paint as i was not convinced it was the same colour.

 

sure as hell doesn't seem enough metal flake in it!!!! the new paint is very new black paint with a slight met look to it. my original paint has loads of met flake as it turns goldy in the sunlight!

 

whf can i do about that i dont want it gone for another 4 weeks :cry:

Gaz, back to the body shop, see what they say, then maybe on to the insurance?

Tell them that you didn't get what you ordered, and that you therefor want them to respray it asap for free or to a very, very good price or you will annouce about them on all big UK online car forums and magazines what a bunch of guys they are. Could be worth a try :)

right i have just called them back to tell them im not happy .i have to take it back sometime next week to have it looked at :headvswal :headvswal :(

maybe contact consumer direct? they will open a case for you and give you advice

couldn't see any difference in the first pic, but the second I can see the hatch panel does seem lighter with the gold flakes as you said. Seems they didn't actually give a shite. Just seemed to spray it with a glossy black.

 

If your colour is some unique jobby someone had done before and they don't have a code, I reckon it'll be hard to match gaz....but then again I know fook all about car spraying. :(

look at the ariel disc its a totally different colour bud. the colour of my car is diamond black pearl code 732 it has quite a high metal flake content wereas the new paint doesn't seem to have!

im really peed off with this nothing ever seems to go right for me ...but fecking tossers who don't give a shite about anything seem to get all the luck....
