Some photos to help pass a few minutes of your nightshift bud! (when you're not setting fire to the Phosphene of course... ;) :D) Thanks again for your help today mate...can't wait to assemble the beast this weekend! :hyper: You bring a certain Mr J.Daniels and I'll get the pizza's in! :duffer: :D

To fill everyone in, I was more excited than a bag full of badgers today as I had a delivery from "the Guvnor", Charlie at CTM Engineering, of my freshly fettled VH45DE V8 heads and cams. He's ported the Inlet and Exhaust ports, reground the cams, cleaned up the combustion chambers, skimmed the surface and done a bit of de-masking around the edges of the valves. TBH, he and his lads have done a phenomenal job and if this is the quality of mine I can't wait to see how John's "high spec" work turns out!

Leigh.

Ooooeeerrr!-they look sweet mate!

Cheers bud! Well chuffed with them! :D The only thing that might slow us up are the trans plate and engine mounts...still waiting for our Antipodean fabricator to finish them! ;)

Hmmmmm...verrry interesting Meeester Bond...tell me more! PM if it's top secret! :D ;)

Don't think anything's going to make this shift pass quickly! Apparently there's too much THP in our tetrakishydroxmethylphosphoniumsulphate at the minute, and I'm not entirely sure why. Was sure the stoichiometry was right too :(

Oh, and it looks like the kinetics modelling I did for the control of the phosphorus converter may have used inaccurate data, or that's the only way I can explain what's happening at the minute.

May well break into that bottle of single barrel tonight!

just a quick question. whats a VH45DE cost?

Hmmm...I suggest going back to basics and making sure the chemical equation is correctly balanced first before panicking. Perhaps use the molar mass of the given substance and convert the mass given in the problem to moles or construct a molar proportion and use it to convert to moles of the unknown or better still, using the molar mass of the unknown substance, convert the moles just calculated to mass.

CHRIST! I think the drugs are kicking in! :D

I actually suggest drinking the Jack and then dropping something REALLY big into the Phosphene tank...again...then sitting back and watching the show! :D

Some guys in the US ask as much as £750-850. However they can be had for a lot less...particularly if you happen to be friendly with a guy in Japan that can source low mileage, '90-'93 models (the most desirable of the VH's) that can be imported with very little hassle to the UK...;)

Knew I should have asked you first mate!

BTW, that's a phosphorus recovery tank. If it were phosphine in there I wouldn't be that close, believe me. Aside from that, it's a gas anyway so it wouldn't be in there in the first place

Awww...phosphorus, phosphine...hey, they both start with a "ph" so they can't be that different, right? I mean, what's a little cardiac arrest, peripheral vascular collapse and pulmonary edema between friends? Ah...right...bugger. ;) :D

All looking rather snazzy! Have to have a V8 buildoff run at the pod between leigh, john dixon and daz :D

No point, Leigh's arches won't fit down the strip at the pod, we'll need to hire an airfield

Can't wait to see the finished results.

I'm excited about the V8 conversions and I'm not involved in them, I don't know how you guys can sleep at night (or sleep in the day if you are JD!)

Mike...

Very nice Leigh. They do look the mutts and you are starting to tempt me, but I've splash cold water over my bonce and gone back to looking at the Noble to calm my nerves.

Cheers chap! (and thanks to everyone else for their support! :)) Seriously though mate, as much as I love my Zed if I could afford a Noble I'd have one without a doubt. It'll be great for you to actually enjoy driving again bud after all the sh1te you've gone through with the car. Bagsy a go when you get it! :D ;)

Lookin good Leigh :hyper:

OK John and Leigh, just promise me one thing when you finally get your V8 zeds on the road?

Fit a stupidly loud exhaust so we can swoon at the gorgeous manic V8 soundtrack :p
