Of the phones available at the moment I would buy one of these:

  • Just a smart looking phone, Motorola RazerV3 or Nokia 8850.

  • Gadget phone, Sony Ericsson K800i or K850i

If you can wait a couple of months for a gadget phone the Nokia N91 has an awesome spec and it's what I am holding out for  !

yeah, i have a nokia 6230 for sale. Is unlocked to use with any network. Sims can be bought for a less than a tenner. Good photos too.

Yours for £50 in the box with charger. ;)

Now, where's that shameless plug smilie? lol

The Samsung D500 is good. Has good standby, good talk time, good apps, phone etc. It also has 96MB memory which is bloody good...

I have had the Nokia 6680 for 4 months now and to be honest its the best phone I have ever had. My wife and son have got the 6230i and although its got the same 1.3 Mp camera it just isnt as good. The camera is excellent it does 1 hour video and has a front camera for video calls. it uses a mini memory card which can be removed without having to remove the battery and is 64Mb standard. Brilliant phone IMO. here is an example of the pictures it takes>>>>>>>>>>>>

I have reduced the size though for easy upload?

missus has got a Motorola RazerV3 top job but I don't like flip phones

makes me feel like i'm playing star trek

I've got a Nokia 8910i with titanium Scratch free case NNNIIICCE

I have a Sony Ericsson 750i.

Two megapixel camera - takes amazing photos in daylight (not good an night) sorry - don't have one on the computer.

Seems to do pretty much everything. One of my favourite features is it has a really good torch!

It takes Sony memory cards so you can give it much memory as you want and use it was an MP3 player too.

You connect it to the computer (blutooth or with a wire) and can drag files onto / off it - pics, sound, video etc.

I don't know much about phones TBH but it seems good.

cheers for all the advice guys, will check all out ;)

Don't buy a Motorola V3 - 'all show and no go'!!! (IMHO) Mine's almost up for renewal now, and I can't wait - battery life awful - almost unusable if you use bluetooth, and capacity's rubbish... have to delete all the good porn to make room when someone sends me a new video

Plus, sent it back twice, both times been software failure, and the case gets battered to hell - and don't even think about dropping it!

Stick with Nokia!

I've got a new Samsung D600, cracking phone 80Mb memory upgradeable with t-flash card, 2 mega pixel camera takes pics up to 1600x1200 and video too just plug it in the telly and you can watch your vids right away.

Not Motorola's biggest fan then :D.

I've got a V3, had no probs with it (oops, that's done it :nelson: ) but the camera is absolutely sheee-ite! As that was in your list - don't even bother!!

I just wanted a phone - y'know to talk to people on, nothing more. Isn't that what phones are for?! ;)

Nokia is the only phone I will ever buy now

i think i need a new one....mines a bit dated now...‘attachment.php?attachmentid=15822&stc=1

I have one of those, I even have the original docking cradle left :D The battery was twice as hevy as the phone, and lasted (with good luck) about 2 minutes of talking, and 4 minutes of standby :p

Or I'm not 100% sure if it's the exact same model, mine may be older. Is that one about 2½ inch thick?

Never mind, it looks like you took it from e-bay :p

got myself this decent handsfree system recently...............

is the D600 unlocked to all networks????

you can buy it sim free if thats what you mean but if you get it on contract it wont cost allot to unlock it.

The D500 actually has a better spec than the 600. Better standby, talk time, memory etc. I just bought one so spent a bit comparing them. For some reason the D600 is a crap spec in comparison...
