go round all the fuel lines and give them a tighten mate.as for your fuel economy not sure as you have a tt but they are not cheap to run lol

if you work it out they do around 18mpg average - TT's that is

i know mine will do about 250 to a tank

I get about 240 to a tank, but I am very rarely below 10k rpm lol, ok not that high but you get the picture!

maybe your consumption is ok, but the fuel smell is something to worry about, could be a potentialy serious fire hazard. Check your lines are all done up tightly, and make sure theres no cracks in them, especially the ones which go down inbetween the plenum from the damper and pressure regulator

ok so mines normal which is good lol.

I think the amount of problems u have had mate , best would be to get ur car checked out i think, might be overfuelling or the usual fuel lines could be knackered ( cue danny/smithy with their fuel line kit)

Doesn't sound too good :(

I average around 230-250 to a tank normal use and around 250-280 on a long run.

I have an almost stock Uk spec auto, plus I don't hang around either..... ;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

wil getting it chipped make a difference?

If you got a fuel leak then if you get that fixed and get it chipped it,ll probably work out the same! As for fuel consumption, if you are worried about that, cycle to work and let yer lady buggy on the crossbar except at weekends........thats what i do :D :D

As for the fuel consumption in mine i spend £2.00 warming it up £18.00 drivin it for about 20mins (sideways mostly with the dumpvalves scaring old grannies and my car beggin for mercy)

My philosophy Indian........ "God invented man, man invented machine, Turbopsychosis invented caus its fun makin babies and so he could try and destroy as much technology and machines as possible before cancer takes his life and he is buried in the ground!!!" So put simply FIX THE LEAK and enjoy the motor, fook what the consumption is the real problem is the tax on fuel !!! but thats another arguement for another day !!

check for dodgy egr valvle located at rear of engine, if the egr goes you get essesive fuel usage. mine went, it sounded like a exhaust blow at rear of engine when you rev up and let the revs die off
