RX7

I have to admit it - I went passed a red RX7 the other day and I actually thought that it was quite sexy for a motor.

Sorry - Just felt like I needed to share that with you people.

Yeah and they need engine rebuilds every 80,000 miles or so.

I was looking to get one, the main thing that put me off was the engine rebuild thing. Plus there are very very few places that would be able to work on it.

But after I saw one for real for the first time, it looked small.

Have to admit they are a fabulous looking car with fantastic handling, Z is faster but not as agile. I think it will be my next car (will probably keep the Z too though, have spent too much money on it to give it to someone else!)

wazza m8 if you thought a z was cramped for a big fella then just try gettin in an rx7 not comfy at all

Stuart as opposed to rebuilding my zed engine every year lol.

I know they are small but they are damn nice and once you do the kit for the engine they are bullet proof, very popular in South africa and i love them will look nice as my everyday car wink.gif biggrin.gif

Yep Warren does hava very valid point! Last time I checked Z's needed gearbox and engine rebuilds at rediculous mileage...not all granted but defo the majority and not the minority! LOL biggrin.gif

It's the studs on the inside rotor that go mainly, you can get all sorts of different types which sort that weakness out!

I posted a link to the main guys in the UK for rotary engines a short while back when I was bantering with Nick about them.

I'd have one, love 'em! Two seater and look the dogs.

Saw an Efini in Rhyl ages ago, lowered and big rear wing spoiler etc. Looked so awesome and threatening on the road. Turned heads along the seafront like no other car I've seen to be honest!

I can lay my hands on a genuine 500bhp RX7 that would scare the shit out of a lot of you guyz.

Anybody who`s interested contact me.

Also while i`m at it Supra 800bhp Single Turbo + Nitrous

Skyline GTR.

Contact me at Trotter Performance Ltd.

I had one. They have really bad flooding problems. If you stop the motor before it warms fully it WILL flood. And you have to pull start it to get her goin' again. All the 13b's are like that!

I'd like one just so I could have a big neon sign in the rear window saying "I'm a WANKEL"

LMAO!

:)

Have you ever heard a rotary engine+loud pipe???

Pure sex!!!

For that reason alone I would buy one!

Apparently, it's the twin turbo setup that makes the RX7 an unreliable motor. I was told, by a genuine source, they're very reliable, as well as f*cking awesome, to drive if converted into a big single.
