You left the take away under the bonnet again? hehe ;)

Seriously, what type of smell are you getting? Do you mean every time you put your foot on the brake? Re-word it a bit...not all that comprehensible.

Who swallowed a dictionary then ? Is it an oily smell ? Is it once youve braked hard or is it cause your shitting yourself because your driving fast lol

sorry guys its more like something burning like the kinda smell u get when ur clutch is going and u put ur foot down

im at work dont have too much time to typeanyway ill await ur responses cheers. just thought it may be because of the unleaded petrol.

No mate very unlitely due to the petrol. have you had pads fitted recently ? it sounds like its just them. Do you suffer from brake fade ?

could be a clutch on its way out (starting to slip if your car is manwell) that is what was happening to mine

well i hope it aint the new one (very costly) but without more detail its hard to say lol

this time of year fuel smells are normally apparent check all hoses are tight around the fuel lines going to fuel dampner and regulator

or you have an oil leak,or your clutch is slipping, but if you have a new one i doubt it is that, check if this smell is only apparent when your driving the car hard or wether its under noraml driving, check fuel lines 1st

when i normally start up my car. sometimes even at work. where are the fuel lines

to find fuel lines follow the hose coming from the fuel filter, which im sure you know where that is along the line/s coming from this are a series of jubilee clips go round securing each one until as tight as possible

there is another hose under throttle cover which is notorius for leaks remove cover and check/replace hoses as nes ;)

pic so you know where lines are:)i have even marked all the clamp points of which you need to check for tightness

If it was fuel, you would smell petrol and not burning bud. Ive just been giving mine the boot up and down the runway on camp and ive just had the same prob  I looked under the bonnet and seen a small puff of smoke from the passenger side rear of the engine FFS :headvswal . Was playing with the boost controller and tooooooooooooo much pressure me thinks!!! FFS AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
