What have you got against Max Power?

 

Yes, it's for kids, not adults, but it gets them into cars.

 

No, Max Power fails to get kids into cars as it were. What Max Power does is provide a social cushion for them to base their lives on aka 'chavism'. 'Cruzin', Hanging around in McDonalds, driving like twossers, loutish behaviour, disrespect for women.

funky i could not agree more pax chav comic has really got a lot to answer for they encourage behaviour not fit for the roads and can someone please explain the point of sitting in a carpark with however many tw$%s trying to have the loudest stereo the doing dumbass donuts burnouts etc when you havent really got the car to do it in at the end of the day we being (relatively) sensible drivers have to bear the brunt of this stupidity with high insurance prices etc but hey i guess my opinions are just mine so i think i will have to try and live with it rant over (again) lol

well ive read maxpower and the likes for years (and yes the jturner writers are the same as the ones fast car uses its a spinoff just klike revs was of max power) at the end of the day i dont think anyone on this forum had a zed as there first car (mine was a nova saloon) and instaead of going to cruses and sitting in car parks we organise our own cruise just for 300's and call them meets lol

 

i like the mags and like some of the cars in there, i do hate little cap wearing pikeys with 15's on their novas who think that their cars are quick, but the clientel of the cars and people that are featured in the mags these days is a lot more respectful (sumo's skyline' crd's supra, and their evo too name just a few)

 

but hey everyones entitled to their opinion and that is mine

That doesn't have anything to do with the fact that Max Power is a crap magazine and promotes chavism....which is undeniably what it does and that's the basis for many of the comments directed towards its sad and pathetic being.

I used to really fancy a wide arched Astra mkII when I was 16-17yrs old but never bought modifier mags. Always stuck with Car, Performance Car and Autocar. I guess in the back of my mind even then I'd realised that £20k spent modifying a car is not as good as buying a car that is already worth £20k.

I bought it back in 02 when my car had a 5 page feature,and I bought it 8 weeks ago when I needed a new Pioneer head unit as the prices in there are top drawer.

Exactly!!

And Max Power or ANY other magazine is not responsible in the slightest for any of the anti social behaviour now commonly seen in most of Britains cities and major towns.

Thats down to complex socio-economic factors well out of the scope of this thread.

All magazine publicity for our cars is worthwhile.

It seems to me that some of you guys are not living in the same world as me.

The 300ZX is only one of a dozen popular Jap Sports cars. We as a club are just a small part of the whole Jap scene here in the UK, so dont get carried away with your own self importance or the importance of the car.

And stop being so judgemental on the younger generation. 90% of them are just sons and daughters of people like me.

I dont like the light up boom box and furry dice(pink) in my daughters car any more than she likes the Luke racing harness in my 300ZX. But we both love our cars . So what else matters??
