Car pulls to the left (no breasts or Supras involved)

My Z's been pulling to the left for quite a while now. Not seriously but just enough to annoy you when trying to drink a can of Pepsi, talk on your phone and adjust your crotch, all at the same time as trying to steer with your knees.

The pull is while cruising in a straight line, not while braking. I've had a four wheel alignment done, changed the tyres and had new brakes during this time. None of this has made a difference. Middlehurst (careful Timmy) have had a look and can't suggest anything useful.

Anyone got any ideas?

Surprised they didn't try to get you to test drive a Micra while you were there Mike mate...ROFL biggrin.gif

Sticking caliper? My Kirk always pulls to the left since I got it...I should have it checked out really! Lazy bugger me! biggrin.gif

Mrs. Turbo has had numerous calipers go West on the Range Rover which causes the pulling problem.

ATS or any half decent fast fit centre should be able to diagnose that for you! LOL biggrin.gif Which is probably why Middlehurst couldn't manage something so simple!!! ROFLMFAO biggrin.gif

Cheers Timmy.

However, just changed the front pads a month ago and the calipers seemed fine. Slipped back in nice and smooth.

Mike

I've got this as well, but my tyres are worn on the inside edge so I think its the toe and camber settings....Just phoned Middlehursts and they quoted £132 for a 4 wheel alignment - then if it nneded adjustment thats extra! What do they do - take the bloody car apart?

Anyone know anywhere cheaper that can do it?

SE did mine. Took them an hours labour to check and correct. And that was after an alleged expert with a 4 wheel aligment system etc said it was within tolerance. Doesn't trash tyres anymore ....

I posted a thing on our board WRT to S13 doing exactly the same, pisses me right off, but everyones reply almost without exception was 'so does mine'

I have had tracking, tyres etc done, not geometry yet but alas makes no difference.

One theory is, should you fall asleep you veer left hitting soft pedestrians instead of hard cars. smile.gif

Jezz.

Some of this will be due to the camber of the road - try driving on the otherside, or maybe up the middle like the French & Italians ! biggrin.gif

oh ohoh..

well since I moved from Italy I have to say I have seen in this Country the worst drivers ever...

e.g.

from double carriege way... into Exit-sliproad... slowing down to a stop!!!!!!!

moron like use of roundabouts... looks like you inveted them but do not know how to use them!!! he ehh ehe

roan limit 70mph..... have drivers on fast lane going at 60mph... same speed of cars on the slow lane... so no one gets anywhere from behind!!!... WTF is that all about?

and more....

BUT I have to say that where I come from it is very rare to see Cars without DENTS!!!!! he he he hehahahaah

oh well...
