I'm organising me honeymoon.

Planning to go to Thailand for the best part of three weeks.

Any recomendations or advice of any sort would be top.

Thanks!

Been a couple of times including our honeymoon.

1st time (honeymoon) April 2000

5 nights in Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, Bangkok

2 nights in Krabi (can't remember name of hotel)

15 nights in Diamond Cliff Hotel & Spa, Patong Beach, Phuket

Had an absolutely brilliant time. Loads to do & see, too much at times.

Phuket was fantastic and if you go, you have to stay at Patong Beach.

2nd Time ~ December 2001

7 nights in Singapore

10 nights in Bali

12 Nights in Pattaya

2 nights in Bangkok

Wouldn't recommend Pattaya, seedy as fook.

If it was an official 300ZX trip (lads only), I'm sure we'd fookin love it :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Maybe one to consider for next year :D :D

Not good for honeymoon

:D You want to hear whats on the menus out there

The food ain't bad either :D :D

 Me mate must have skipped that part

I recommend chiang mai, really pleasant city and loads to do including treking, elephant shows and treks, snake shows, white water river rafting, thai boxing, 2 good night clubs (they are next to each other and ones called bubbles iirc) and a couple of places open all night for food and beer.

We stayed at the chiang mai gardens for ~800 bt a night (£11) - was ok. Also koi samui for the beaches (chaweng the best) and bangkok (recommend the sukhumvit area, just avoid soi cowboy and nana plaza ;) ). I'm going for a third visit in Jan and gonna visit kanchanaburi where the POW camps where and the bridge over the river kwai.

If its your honeymoon don't go to pattaya (lads hols only lol) but they do have a really good karting track http://www.karting-thailand.com/index_english.html

Great country with loverly ppl (not called land of smiles for nothing), excellent food - you must have tom yam kung soup and everything is so bloody cheap. Keep some money for clothes etc. I spent around 2k all in for 4 weeks.

Also when you get to the airport in bangkok approach one of the limo drivers, he will take you down town for ~400bt (cheaper than a taxi) and fully air con with leather. If you go up north go by 1st class over night sleeper train - costs the same as a hotel for the night ;) and finally number one rule don't be tempted to buy / take any drugs. They do piss tests in the clubs and if positive I hope you have plenty of cash or your looking at a long long time in the bangkok hilton :(

Stay away from women with adams apples though....lol

Thailand is awesome mate been loads of times (before I got married that is), some parts are a definite lads only area...... those are the best bits.........my wife doesn't read this forum does she........?
